Prologue: The EP that should have never happened
Prologue This record was a mistake. I never intended to write this EP at all. In fact, at the start of 2020 I had already finished writing my second album. But as you likely guessed, the Covid-19 pandemic changed everything. The drum tracks for album 2 had been partially recorded, but the Easter lockdown in the UK meant we had to wait till Summer to finish the recording. ..so I ended up getting bored during lockdown. Lockdown I have a heart condition so I fall into the ‘vulnerable’ category. Therefore I’ve been in lockdown since March, but this EP is NOT about Covid, or anything. The Song That Changed My Life
If I remember right it was a late evening in 2006. I was twelve years old who with many other kids, spent their time after school buried on MSN messenger. I’d spend the entire evening chatting to my friends about whatever had happened at school that day and I’d also be sending way too many x’s to the various girls I had crushes on. There used to be this feature where you could link your ‘personal message’ up to Windows Media Player so it would tell your friends what you were listening to. Back then I didn’t have the ‘coolest’ music taste and my music collection only consisted of mainstream pop-rock; Busted and McFly.
